Nashville, TN – NetEffect Services, located in Downtown Nashville, TN is a unique data driven marketing firm that has combined the expertise and resources from a technology consulting company with a full service marketing firm to handle all traditional and online strategies for our clients. Due to demand and growth, we are seeking to add a front-end web developer to our team that will build UI’s using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and XML. The front-end web developer constructs sites primarily by hand-coding html, css, and javascript with little help from WYSIWYG editors.

Responsibilities include:

Web development projects leveraging advanced HTML5 practices with other technologies such as JavaScript \ jQuery, Ajax, CSS, JMVC
Adhering to established standards and procedures in coding and implementation, and contribution to the evolution of standards and procedures
Frequent communication with project teams in regards to status and needs
Collaborate with creative team on user interface and accessibility design
Participating in new product prototyping and R&D efforts; build working website demos for prototyping and presentations
Maintaining productive workflow of multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized training)
2- 3 years hands-on web development experience in a commercial software development environment (preferably in a high-volume or critical production service environment, prior agency experience a plus.)
Experience with JavaScript \ jQuery, Ajax, CSS, HTML5
Through understanding of HTML DOM
Strong front-end hand coding skills
Understanding about what makes a user interface great, and knowledge of accessibility concerns
Affluent in writing maintainable, high performance code and analyzing & troubleshooting varying-scale solutions
Demonstrated experience with web user interface toolkits and libraries such as: HTML5 Boilerplate, jQuery, and jQuery Mobile
Expert at debugging cross-browser issues

Core Toolset:

JavaScript \ jQuery, Ajax, CSS, HTML5, JMVC
Kentico .Net Enterprise CMS
Experience with source control. We use GitHub
Familiarity with commonly used WYSIWYG tools although you should not be reliant on the WYSIWYG for development

Bonus Points for:

Understanding of Social Networks and experience using Social Network APIs (Facebook apps, Twitter apps, and Open Social Apps)
Experience using any CMS platform
Experience implementing code for analytics
Experience with IIS and ASP.NET C# development
LESS CSS, FuncUnit and Qunit
Basic Photoshop knowledge (Note!! This is not a requirement because this is a development position)
